KT King

Therapist

KT is an associate therapist with Seattle EMDR and is currently training in EMDR while working toward certification. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation from Western Washington University in 2019 and completed her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University.

KT’s therapeutic style is person-centered, relational, and grounded in existential thought. She believes that meaning and purpose are not predefined, but discovered and created through lived experience. She views growth as emerging from affirming, empowering relationships and understands that when people feel disconnected from others or from themselves, they often experience pain and greater vulnerability to life’s stressors.

KT offers an authentic, honest, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore areas of disconnection, examine the parts of your life that feel lacking in meaning, and work toward the changes you want.

She is especially passionate about supporting those in healthcare roles, service industry workers, BIPOC clients, LGBTQIA+ community members, and adoptees. She has experience working with individuals navigating ADHD, PTSD, and family trauma.

Outside of work, KT enjoys trail running, skiing, hanging out with her dog, and trying new snacks.

KT identifies as Asian-American, AFAB, queer, and non-religious.

She is in network with First Choice, Kaiser PPO, Premera, Lifewise, Anthem, and other Blue Cross plans (out of network with Regence).
