KT is an associate therapist with Seattle EMDR and is currently training in EMDR while working toward certification. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Program Management from Western Washington University in 2019 and completed her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University.
KT’s therapeutic style is person-centered, relational, and grounded in a systems approach. She understands that we exist in community with one another and are impacted by societal systems that contribute to our state of being in both positive and negative ways. In taking that into account, she believes that meaning and purpose are not predefined, but discovered and created through lived experience. She views growth as emerging from affirming, empowering relationships and understands that when people feel disconnected from others or from themselves, they often experience pain and greater vulnerability to life’s stressors.
KT’s approach is authentic, humorous, direct and nonjudgmental. It is important to her to create a space where you can show up as you are to explore the parts of your life that feel unsatisfying and/or harmful, and work toward the changes you want.
She is especially passionate about supporting healthcare providers, service industry workers, BIPOC clients, LGBTQIA+ community members, and adoptees. She is experienced with working with neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism), PTSD and Family Trauma.
Outside of work, KT enjoys trail running, skiing, hanging out with her dog, going to live music, and trying new snacks.
KT identifies as Asian-American, AFAB, queer, and non-religious.
She is in network with First Choice, Kaiser PPO, Premera, Lifewise, Anthem, and other Blue Cross plans (out of network with Regence).
