Judy Almazan Stuhmer, MA LMHCA

Therapist

Judy earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle with an additional certification in Trauma. Judy is training in EMDR and loves being able to contribute to others' well being on deeper, more meaningful levels.

Working collaboratively, Judy offers a warm, open presence. Her approach is holistic as she understands our minds, bodies, and spirits to be interconnected. She is inspired to uncover ways family, culture, and systems of oppression impact our sense of self, values and overall health. Judy trusts we’re all born with innate wisdom and have everything within us to transform. She has experience working with people of various ethnic and cultural groups, LGBTQAI+ individuals, and aims to co-create relationships that give life meaning.

Judy identifies as a bi-culural/mixed-heritage (Filipino & Polish/Lithuanian), able-bodied, hetero, U.S. born, gen X, cisgender woman.

Outside the therapy space, Judy can be found around town enjoying art, food, movies, comedy, and playing the drums in her punk rock band alongside her long-time partner.

Judy sees clients online and in Seattle, and is in network with Premera, Lifewise, Anthem, First Choice and some other BCBS plans.
