Jocelyn holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. She is fully trained in EMDR and working towards certification. Jocelyn has extensive experience in trauma focused practice and interactive communication methods as well as a unique ability to blend compassion and challenge to create a safe and impactful therapy environment.

With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, Jocelyn has access to numerous methods of treatment that allow her to assess each client’s learning and communications styles to create an entirely individualized plan of care. Additionally, she is trained in PCIT (Parent Child Interactive Therapy) which is helpful in supporting parents to deepen positive connections with their children. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is adept at working with a focus on inclusion and honoring diversity.

Areas of special focus include trauma recovery, grief and loss, survivors of domestic violence, adult ADHD, anxiety disorders, intimate partner relationship difficulties and LGBTQ+ related trauma. Her Therapeutic methods include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), cognitive behavioral techniques, Family Systems/Integrative parts work and narrative processing. By utilizing her therapeutic skills and creating a nurturing space, she guides her clients on a journey to heal from their past experiences and regain their confidence and sense of self.

Jocelyn sees clients in person at our Federal Way location and online. She is in network with Premera, Lifewise, Anthem, and other BCBS plans (out of network with Regence).
