Emily is fully trained in EMDR and working towards certification. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with a mental health emphasis at the University of Washington. She centers her work in social justice and liberation while also being guided by mindfulness, creative expressions, DBT, ACT, IFS and somatic work. She has worked in bilingual mental health and social services for over eight years and offers therapy in Spanish as well for bilingual Spanish or primarily Spanish-speaking individuals.

Emily offers specialized training and experience with eating disorders, food and body issues, perinatal issues (prenatal and postpartum mood disorders, infertility, loss), domestic violence and sexual assault. She affirms and integrates Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating and body liberation frameworks in her approach to food and body work. She is also experienced and passionate about supporting parenting challenges, grief and loss, living with disabilities, navigating and integrating faith or spirituality, and healing from religious trauma.

Emily lives in Tacoma with her spouse and is a parent of two younger children, a musician, a budding cold plunger and swimmer and loves exploring the wildness of the Northwest. She dreams of living in a van down by the river.

Emily is a white, cisgender US born queer woman.

Emily is in network with First Choice, Kaiser PPO, Premera, Lifewise, Anthem, and other Blue Cross plans (out of network with Regence).
